Neighborhoods
Six neighborhoods. One phone number.
We are not a citywide organization and we are not trying to become one. These are the blocks we know, the schools we call, and the families who know us back.
How we pick
Close enough to walk, or one bus at most
A program only works if a fourteen-year-old can get there on their own on a Tuesday in February. That rule decides our map more than anything else. When a neighborhood asks, we look at the bus lines first.
Mentors, homework lab and career crew across Back of the Yards, Englewood, Bridgeport, Bronzeville, Gage Park and McKinley Park.
The building
Everything starts on Ashland Avenue
Satellite homework labs move around, but mentoring, training and the career crew all run out of our own building in Back of the Yards.
Not on the list?
Ask anyway. The map moves when families push it.
McKinley Park got added because three parents called in the same month. If your block needs a homework lab, tell us and we will look at the bus lines with you.
